Oh fer cryin' out loud! If you like laced wheels, buy 'em and ride 'em. Life is too short to worry about what might happen. You guys act like anyone without mag wheels is doomed. How did the world survive over a hundred years of laced motorcycle wheels?
Otherwise, always wear a helmet just in case you get hit by a meteorite.
Ride fast, take chances.

If you're in this for practical and safe, get an SUV....
Laced for me. I see a few of you guys say they repaired on the road, but my experiance is that most guys know dick about their bikes, don't carry patch kits or pumps, and get a tow when in a problem. I never thought about the safety issue, since I have never had a blowout, just traditional flats that I was able to get to the side of the road with.
You Hatfields and McCoys, or Laced vs. Cast in this case, will have to forgive me. Santa does not want to divide the brotherhood. I have listened to all and have come to the following conclusions:
[ul][*]Clear Winner - Laced[*]Onroad flat repair capability- Rather look cool[*]Santa's safety - As was well said by others, if I want safe, I'll drive my SUV. I choose freedom![*]Mrs. Claus's safety - I've asked her to drop ten and up'd her coverage just incase. I'm now one down (on the basement couch), rather that two up. Guess that one didn't go so well. Maybe the thongs wrapped under the tree will get me back in. How long can you really stay mad at Santa anyway. I'm just kidd'in Blonde if your reading this post, you know your smokin hot and I love ya![/ul]
