I have a 08 Ultra Classic and it went into limp mode for the first time today. As I was pulling out from a parking lot it went into limp mode and I pulled into another parking lot. Mine didn't throw any codes. Tried restarting it a couple of times and it stayed into limp mode. I reached behind the air cleaner and pushed on the connection there and it fired right up. Guess I'm going to be looking at mine tomorrow.

Thanks for Posting ~ Good to Know...have had "limp-mode" on my 11 Limited - I have put electric grease on the plug end ~ no issue after that ~

I give you a lot of credit for dig in into the harness as you did to find a problem. Sounds like the tech did a pretty good job running with the ball as well. You probably have the problem cured.

I gotta find my wiring manual so I can figure out what color wire this is. I think mine isn't quite broke but intermittent. I want to run a new wire separately and see if my problem persists. If it fixes my problem I'll run it better for aesthetics and weatherproofing.

Anyone happen to know what color that wire is???
