Patriot Harley in Fairfax is ok. They tend to have higher prices than other dealers. They also don't pay total attention to detail. All in all though not bad. I purchased a bike there last year and think it was a fair deal. They do greet you at the door. You can't go far when someone asks if you would like help. Unlike so places if you say no they don't bother you!
I have recently switched my business to Lawless Harley (Renton, WA). They gave me a quote for tires and install labor in December and told me it was good for January/February as it is their slow time. March 1, prices go up as their shop becomes busy. Even though the dealership raised labor rates in January, they honored their quote last Friday. It has a smaller shop, good people. Prices on tires are competitive, near internet prices, prices on H-D parts are book prices.
I rate this dealership as one of the best in the Northwest.
Shop is an open shop. By this I mean they have a window in the hallway to watch as well as an open archway from the service desk. I think it belies confidence in your mechanics when the shop is open to view by their customers. Service staff is also on the ball and mechanic came out to compliment me on the way I had my bike set up.
One glitch, my side cover was left off. It was pouring rain and they were asking me if I was going to leave in the downpour. I did and we all missed the side cover sitting on the top of the rack. I had to ride down the next day to get it and they gave me my choice of a Lawless Harley Tee shirt. Class act as they knew I had an hours ride back to get my side cover. Had it not been torrential rain, I am sure the mechanic would have spotting it before I left. I missed it as well when I checked out the tires, and bike etc. before I took off. I did not mind the ride back to Lawless on Saturday. It was a spectacular day. The only issue was I had promised to take my girlfriend to the shooting range and I ended up riding all day. 300 miles on the tires and they are starting to feel broken in. Oh well, we'll hit the range another day.
Gaslight HD - Morden, Manitoba - Nothing but good things to say about these guys. Was treated well from the second I called them. Mostly family run business that listened to what I was looking for and gave me a great price on a new 15RGS last fall. They were $1500 lower than the other Manitoba dealer and gave me $1500 more on trade without any dickering. Plus their shop rate is less than most other dealers in the area. I'm new to Winnipeg and was advised almost immediately to make the trip out there instead of staying in Winnipeg FWIW
I've been completely satisfied with HD of Frederick (MD). Took the MSF/BRC classes there awhile ago and have bought a Fat Bob and Road King from them. Service/parts depts have been good too. Nice staff, fair priced, great selection.
Iron Nation Harley Davidson in Edmond, Oklahoma is a great place for both sales and service. See Jennifer for your sales needs and Josh for all things service. Great dealership! Btw open house this Saturday from 10:00 til 4:00. The OKC Thunder girls will be there, along with chances to win a bike. Just another way Iron Nation leads the way in OK.
Barbs Harley, West Collingswood NJ
They treat you well and Barb is a good person but the service department has had problems in the past so I don't go there unless I am forced by conditions. The parts department has always been helpful.
Atlantic County Harley, Galloway NJ
They are further away but do good work although they are decidedly more expensive. I like the sales folks and the girls up in the clothing department.
During the recession (depression) we had 4 area Harley dealers go belly up and never replaced; one of them was a favorite.....Millville Harley.
Kenai Peninsula Harley Davidson in Soldotna Alaska is hands down a great place to do business .
I had stopped there years ago for a visit , was there for an hour at most . Two years later when I came in with my Harley to have some work done on it the floor guy remembered me and my name !!! That's impressive indeed .
Since then they have done all my work and I recently purchased my new Road King and getting ready to buy my wife's first Harley this fall.
What also impressed me was one evening on a Saturday half hour before quitting time I left their shop . I stopped at the gas station which is about two blocks away to fill up . Got ready to leave turned the key the clutch lever pulled in and bike lurched forward . The clutch would not disengage . Called the shop which is only open for a few more minutes and asked the tech a couple questions .
He jumped in the service truck picked up my bike took it to the shop , pulled one bike off the lift put mine on and started to work on it . An hour later it's fixed and I'm on my way .
Generally speaking when I am in the US I stock up on accessories and service parts I need. With some exceptions in Canada most dealers leave a lot to be desired! And the Harley Canada website is absolutely pathetic! How the same company can be so vastly different by simply crossing a line on a map is incredible!
Longhorn HD in Grand Prairie, Texas...I bought 5 bikes from those guys...always professional...Service Dept., Parts, Clothing outstanding. Pretty big dealership...always stuff happening there. They know me by name...down to earth...I have spent over 100K in that place....
