Local dealer in Greensburg PA is Z&M. Big box store but they have always provided me with excellent service in all three areas - sales, parts, service. Sales guy I deal with is Ryan Lease. Doesn't jam the bikes down my throat and he is enthusiastic about the product. Wally and the guys in parts are great and the service guys are always willing to tell me the right way to do it myself. Couple of them know my mediocre mechanical skills and will tell me "better let us do that." I'm ok with that.

Dodge City Harley Davidson, great guys to deal with. Had them quote me handlebar install because I was too busy to do it. They were able to tell me to the penny what it would take to do the job and they stuck to their quote. Most dealers just gave me a by the hour quote but never pin pointed it down. Then, their service department is connected to a Honda dealership as well, they fixed a Honda lawn mower under warranty that I bought at Home Depot. Didn't give me any attitude about where I purchased it. I will definitely recommended them. I'll be going back.

City Limits H-D, not my cup of tea. Their service writer looks like a poodle and has the same disposition

Woodstock H-D, much better. They did my clutch recall work, haven't had a problem.

After doing business with that dealer since 1968, I won’t do business with them again as long as they have the same general manager. He didn’t have time to talk to me after I had a problem with the service department over charging. Not a people person. A sale’s person at the dealer tried to charge me $1,000.00 over list price on a L.E.O. Special.

Fletcher’s Harley-Davidson (Clearwater, FL 33764)

You can’t ask for a better dealer. Every aspect of the dealership is top notch. I‘ve bought two bikes there and $$$$$$ of parts. A number of people working there worked for Jim's for years and moved to Fletcher's and can't be happier. (Disclaimer: I don’t work there and never dated any of the women there.)
Jims burned me on a clutch fix. It failed again in 6 months and stranded me in Daytona. When I asked the service counter at Jims what was wrong and what was done, they just shrugged. I had been sitting there for 4 hours and evidently all they did was adjust the clutch but the plates were nearly gone (as I found out the hard way). Rather than insisting on getting an explanation from Jims I just wanted to get the heck outta there. Had I known what they really did and what they hadn't checked on I would have taken the clutch apart when I got back to SC. Shame on me for trusting a dealer to do the right thing...

I apologize for the length of this post.

This is a mixed review of Forman HD in Stillwater, OK. I bought my Ultra Classic brand new in 2013. The wait time from the time I ordered the bike until it was delivered to the dealership was unbearable, but the customer service was excellent and the price was very satisfactory. The salesperson was great and even gave my son a t-shirt when I came to pick up the motorcycle. She explained that because it was a firefighter special edition, I would receive a 25% discount on all parts. I left very satisfied, along with a few select accessories I decided to purchase while I was there.

I also had my 5,000 mile service done at this dealership, which is 3 hours away. I live within 1-2 hours of 4 other dealerships, but chose to make the 3 hour ride because of the way I was treated there. Again, very satisfied, along with a very nice 3 in 1 leather jacket they had clearanced for a very fair price.

Here's where my opinion has changed. Remembering I get a 25% discount on parts and accessories, I contact Forman and speak with the parts manager about purchasing a Garmin GPS and discuss installation with him. He quotes me a price and we make arrangements on a date for the installation, along with the 10,000 mile service.

I arrive on the date of my appointment with my bike on the trailer to have the GPS installed and have the 10,000 mile service completed at the same time. They tell me it will be approximately 3 hours. I proceed to go into town to have lunch and do some shopping while they work. I don't get 1/2 mile down the road when the dealership calls and informs me it will take longer because they had a delivery of new bikes and have to make room for the new inventory.

Long story short, it took 4 hours for all the service work. I paid with a credit card and discover as I'm walking out the door that they overcharged me for the GPS. I went back in and they informed me that I only get a 10% discount, then still overcharged me for the GPS by $65. The parts guy agrees he overcharged me because there was a price increase from the time I ordered the GPS until the time it arrived (3 days later). After arguing that the price increase was not any fault of mine, he relents, but refuses to refund the difference, stating it would cost the dealership money to put the money back on my credit card and says he'll give me store credit. Already running an hour behind because of the surprise delivery of bikes that set my appointment back an hour, I decide to go home and call the manager the next day.

I call and ask to speak with the manager the next day, who happens to be the sales rep that sold me the bike and treated me so well. She is nice, but sides with the parts guy and refuses to refund the overcharge on the GPS, instead offering me store credit. I informed her that I live 3 hours away and rarely go to Stillwater, except for the service that I had previously been happy with up to this last visit, and that I may never benefit from the store credit. After going back and forth for a few more minutes, she finally agrees to cut me a check for the difference, which satisfied me.

I get home and discover that the dealership failed to install one of the cables in order to operate the GPS with the sound system, which requires removing the fairing. They had told me that they had some extra parts. I also discover that they failed to replace the spacers for the windshield bag when they removed the fairing to install the parts they somehow figured out how to install.

1 year later, I'm still waiting on the check I was promised. I will never set foot in that dealership again. You don't overcharge a customer for shoddy work, then force them to come back into your store in order to get their money back.
