Considering Jumping Ship
Traded an '07 RKC I owned 18 mos. 21k mi.$18.6K + acc. $11.5K on trade.
Traded an '08 EGC I owned 24 mos. 26k mi $20.4K + acc. $13.5K on trade
Traded a '10 FLHTK I owned for 16 mos. 26k mi. $25.5k + acc. $20.08K on trade
Dealer networks, they're there when I need them $425 out of pocket for 2 services done on the road in 13,600 mi.The 2 techs. that have touched the bike were as savy as any I've dealt with,Harley incl.
Accessories, granted not a whole lot out there but other than the exhaust,ac,remap, tour pack rack, lower air deflectors and back rest there's not much else needed.
LoL, as far as the BOZO inuendos, with all the pluses this bike offers I can live with a little humiliation. No one's asked me to park on the other side of the street yet.

Here is the thread WITH PICS
I just read it... ha! Oh, the past ... ouch.
I am going to try to be quick here:
I had a Vision. I loved it.
But I was in constant defense mode against Harely.
I tired of the plastic and the gutless vibe and whine of the motor.
It felt like a big scooter.
I mistakenly thought that was a "smooth and superior ride"
Really, it was just a bland experience, coupled with the crazy looks.
I realized I missed the rumble and vibe of a Harley. THAT it what I wanted, I just did not know it until it was gone...
I am back to Harley, forever. Never again will I leave.
Sold: the Victory, had to wait nearly two years....
Now: Proud and Happy owner of 2012 CVO Road Glide Custom (liquid maple)
I had to try... so, maybe you do to.
But, I agree, you will be back if you really like the rock and roll of Harley.
And you do... look at your past...
Just enjoy them all if you have the $.
But Harley is King.
Period

My biggest complaint about Victory is the handlebar controls look like an after thought. I could understand this the first year they put a radio on a bike but what is the excuse now? The passenger floorboards and front turn signals look like they came out of the JC Whitney catalog. Just my HO.
I have no doubt they a good machines but for the price, I will just buy Harley.
The Best of Harley-Davidson for Lifelong Riders
Maybe, just maybe if some of those that were struggling would work harder (or just work in some cases), they wouldn't have to struggle.
Or maybe if they would stop paying $50 at the hair salon, $150 for a mani/pedi and buying a new cellphone every two months they would have more money. It's not how much you earn, it's how much you spend that makes you poor.

They're a tough crowd, that's for sure. How long did you own it and how many miles on your Vision? Harley's sound and low end grunt are 2 of it's biggest selling points.I'm deaf in 1 ear and can't here out of the other because of it. lol
I was down in your neck of the woods last mo.I left Hilton head SC on a Sunday and pulled into San Diego late Thurs. afternoon en route to Huntington Beach for a few days @ my son's place.I have to admitt having my Harley to cruise up and down the beach areas would have been nice. The Vision probably didn't fit in too well.Unfortunately there's no PCH up here in Wyoming.Mon.morning reality sets in and I head for Twin Falls, Idaho.IMO where the Vision is great. 6th gear, getting from pt. A to pt. B comfortably.
