Oil Pressure Light blinking

I have an 05 Road King Custom with about 72,000 miles. Recently the oil pressure light started acting funny: blinks or doesn't turn on when the ignition switch is turned on. Bike runs fine however, I don't want to cause any damage by the light not coming on to alert me to some serious issue. I'm thinking the oil pressure switch must be having problems. Should I change this switch or does anyone have recommendations on what else i should look at?

Still got the stock cam tensioners? If so, have they been checked regularly starting at say 25k miles? Could be something simple like the switch, but could be more serious like the tensioners starting to go and plugging the holes, etc.

I had a piece of wire a foot back from the pressure switch rubbing on the frame causing a short and intermitent oil light flash. New wire installed no more problem
