I installed the Hayden on my '09 Ultra Friday evening. Put around 150 miles on it since. Had a little whirling noise at first but has since really quietened down. Much quieter than stock and both up and down shifts are much smoother and quieter. Dropping in first gear fron neutral is noticeably smoother too. I figured I'd give you guys a review. I had to use the thin shim to get the gap per the instructions. So far very happy with this unit and hope it will extend the life of bearings and the chain n the primary. Have a good one!
I really didn't know what to expect out of it other than hopefully no longer possible over stress on the ipb due to chain tightness. But man it really made the bike way smoother through the gears. Also I got it through Phat Performance. $105.95 / free shipping.
I tried one on my Road Glide but it just didn't work out. The chain was slapping against the inside top of the primary to the point it was leaving tracks. I adjusted it up as high as I could get it and the chain tight but the chain still slapped somehow. I put the stock chain tensioner back on and its good now.

Seems like your chain may be stretched out too much but that's just my thinking...
How many miles did you have on your bike when you changed it?
I had one on my evo too and never had any issues with it, and it seemed to shift easier too. I might go ahead and put on this bike too, to be pro-active..
Here's the M-6 shoe off my 2000 RG at 112,000 miles. Note that the side plates have cut in just far enough for the rollers to now contact the surface. The wear has stopped. That's why Hayden told me to check it every 20,000 miles from now on, and plan to replace it....at 300,000 miles.
(BTW Chain slap when using an M-6 indicates that the chain needs replaced, not the tensioner. Everything in my primary is still original, but some guys will go through 2 or 3 chains over several hundred thousand miles, still with one original M-6 shoe.)
