I'm running stock exhaust on my 07' FLHP. It's waaaaaaay too quiet. I was riding an 04' Heritage with Santee drag pipes. Although that was fun, they were too loud.
I'm looking for something with just a little sound, you know, to let me know I'm riding a Harley. I guess a low rumble would best describe what I'm looking for. Who's got a recommendation???
You've asked an age-old, or HD-old question... I'm not biting... I will say that, if you haven't, you need to hit a 'bike night' or weekend ride and listen... only you can decide...
...but with that question you're bound to hear a lot of subjective opinions indeed...
I lovemy vance and hines fishtails... they may be a tad on the loud side for you, but they do seel the quiet baffles for em. Don't know what they sound like, but i'd imagine they must be... well, quiter. I'd also say that if you just want very mild sound and not loud, maybe look into some of the SE slipons. They still comply with all laws for noise and such, comming from the factory as they do, but i hear they're louder than stock.
Klock Werks Super Savers (SS) are a nice 4" muffler, with removable baffles, and a decent price tag. The removable baffles are important to me, because you can experiment with different wrap, and packing, and tune them to the sound you want.

Vance and Hines or FuelMoto would fill this nicely. Rhineharts are pretty popular, but I think they're too quiet.
I probably like the sound of Samsons best, , but they put you in the get me noticed, loud category, and probably aren't what you're looking for...
