I have a HD Brawler solo - I only use it in town-

most of the time I use the 09/10 version streetglide seat, good for 4 hours, painful at 6.
not a solo, but that version of the seat is fairly sleek

I had a poor experience with Corbin, followed by a worse experience with their "customer support".

When i tour, the ultra seat goes back on my EG Classic

I have the lepera barebones solo... the name is deceiving. ..it is very comfortable. It was bouncy at first... couple hundred miles and it fits like a glove. I was having the same tailbone pain with the stocker...none with the lepera.

I will probably get flamed for this, but Mustang is the worst seat for my butt. I have the exact same pain when I ran a Mustang seat. It feels like my spine is being stabbed by a knife. Now most people love them, but for me they are the worst. I run a C&C solo,it isn't the HD Hammock comfy, but it's not too bad. It is good for a few hours, and I have no pain in my spine while I'm riding. It looks great, moves you back a little, and lowers you a little too. For looks and comfort C&C is hard to beat. I will say I tried gel and no gel,and again for some reason I much prefer no gel in the C&C.

One word. CORBIN. Great saddles but poor customer service.

I've been using the Police air ride seat and love it. It's a easy install with basic tools, takes a couple hours. I found the complete set up on ebay for $150 about a year ago, so the price may have gone up a little since then.

Maybe you could rework the foam where your tail bone rests, I had the same problem with my stock seat, I pulled the cover back and cut a gully in the middle with a serrated knife to re leave the tail bone pressure. The vinyl just spans that area when your not sitting on it and it looks normal. Just a thought.
