It is a common issue on all the 2014's. For some reason the AVC sucks on the new radios. I have tried every setting from avc off to max avc and am not happy with it at all. On my 07 ultra it worked much better. There have been a number of threads on this same complaint. I sure hope they get a fix to this in some future software updates, but I doubt they will.

I agree, it doesn't work very well. On my 09 ultra it worked fine. Seems to do nothing on my limited regardless of where it is set. Not the end of the world, will probably get fixed in a software update. I hope.

Thanks for the replies!
The volume should adjust when you slow down or speed. I have a 2014 with the AVC and it is not working at all.

If you got the owners manual for the new bike, it has a section on the set up of the audio systems. I have the max bars on my setup and the volume control works quite well. Just have to practice with what you have and become proficient. It's not something you want to set while you are rolling. Good luck.

I know where that setup page is. It makes no difference which bar I have the avc set on. There is no change in the volume.

I have a '14 Street Glide Special and the AVC works great. Unfortunately does NOT turn off. Whether I have it on, or one of the 3 bars or full setting it is always activated and never turns off. There are many times I don't want it to lower the volume as I slow down but can't do that. Anyone else have this problem with their 6.5" infotainment center?
