The rear bag reflectors have studs that go through the bag so will need something to cover the hole.

Another topic, I was riding last week and had this annoying rattling sound that I could not identify. At first not a big deal but it started to grate on my nerves so yesterday as I was riding over to my local, it was rattling and then I remembered the gas cap problem and put may hand over it. Yep, rattling gas cap. I thought everyone who was complaining about it were a bunch of wuss' but now that its happened to my bike, it is annoying as hell. I turned it back a bit so its tighter and stopped the rattling but not idea as the cap is not on tight. Anyway, will see if the dealer will replace it under warranty.

Funny. I have about 1000 miles on my new Heritage and I have not had any issues except that I had to adjust my clutch lever.

After my back surgery in March I was back on the bike in early April. At that time only had about 350 miles on the bike. Since then I'm now comming up on 4500 miles and I have also had no issues with my Cherry to speak of.

The Gas cap may buzz a bit, but when I hear it I just give it turn for a few clicks and then back off to the slight snug point and it stops. And, yes the speedo was foging but the desicant packs seem to help minimize the foging.

Now I do have a question for yawl. Is your M8 (specifically those with the 107) using any oil? Mine was down about 3/4 quart since the 1K service and the change to SYN3 (about 3k miles). Dealer service techs said this is about normal.

Been doing more 2 up riding of late and thought maybe the additional load my contribute to the oil consumption. Also, I can see and feel some oil collection on the air filter. Dirt and dust I would expect, but not a considerbale amount of oil. Any thoughts?

10,000 miles and zero issues. No gas cap rattle either. I have had to tighten my passing lamp trim rings a few times for a slight buz at exactly 2900rpm...otherwise sound as a brick. It is stage 2 and does not get babied...great bike.

My new speedo has not fogged up (yet, fingers crossed).

Just got an Ultimate seat and installed it, can't wait to ride tonight if it doesn't pour. Saddlemen seat listed in the Classifieds.

I think a lot of people, myself included have defaulted to running their M8 about 1/2 way on the dip stick. Mine was full when I got it three weeks ago, and down 1/2 quart at 1K miles. I did the 1K service and refilled with synthetic to about the halfway point on the dipstick. Now at 3300 miles, the oil is still at the same place. I doubt carrying a passenger would have as much effect as the level.

Waiting on some pics and review, I am still running my stock seat on my 2018 Heritage just looking for something with a little more cushion for my old tail bone.

I've listed the Saddlemen Explorer seat in the Classified section. It was much roomier than the stock seat but still hurting my tailbone though not as bad as the stock seat. It's a one piece seat but it fit fine with the passenger backrest.

I rode a short distance tonight on the Ultimate, I got the seat and backrest, it fits with the stock passenger seat. I think it's going to need that 500 to 1000 mile break in period but I like that it has the matching long studs. I need a new passenger seat screw because mine has fallen out in the past couple weeks. I'll get a picture this weekend.
