:-) Sounds just like me. Another inveterate tinkerer. I want to do a 124" kit and a non HD cam once my warranty is up. Only 11 months to go. It's getting towards winter here now and I will have a tough time not pulling it apart over the winter.
The guy that tuned my bike told me that there was still a lot of discussion about the flow characteristics on the CNC ported heads and whether they were much better than the stock ones for most uses. Apparently the stock ones flow plenty air anyway - however the CNC ported ones will have better velocity at high flow rates due to different throat castings. Not sure how much is rumour, hearsay or truth, but I am waiting for my favourite head porter to tool up for M8 heads. Hopefully that will happen about the same time as the warranty expires.
From the sounds of it u can get more out of a set of ported stockers. But I went with the SE stuff to keep the warranty and have it as fast as I can till the aftermarket catches up. And can fully test bigger better setups.
They have about 7 positions that you can try to eliminate the last of the buffeting which will depend on your height and riding position.
Hi,
there are different vario spoilers available, do you have any recommendations? I've just installed the 19'' screen and the buffeting is horrible . The spoiler could be a solution...

The one I bought is below - it works well. Lifts the air up about another 2 inches or so and reduces buffeting significantly.
One other thing you can try is to lift the screen itself up a couple of inches by putting the top clamps on the top of the forks above the upper triple tree....
Not sure if any of y'all have seen this yet, but DOUGZ is working on a fairing for the new Fat Bobs. I'm pretty stoked. He has pics/vids of the fairing development on his Instagram and Facebook. Check it -
I have the Phil birch fairing and love it but it mounts to the damn riser clamp. I have new risers and bars ready to put on but need another fairing option that hopefully doesnt mount to the clamp.
