My dealer charges $225.42 to install two tires and balance.
Similar here. Found an indie nearby who did my last couple of sets for $175. And that still seemed absurd, so I am now going to one that's down the road about 15 miles, $110 for both tires, all inclusive -- no fees for disposal or hazardous waste or balancing or anything. Shop has extremely high reviews, and they did it while I waited.
Getting the tires to them required a 1x4 and some bungees, but it worked out fine and I'm thrilled with the service and cost savings.
Yeah the cheapest tire and install deal they have at the dealer is 495 out the door for shinkos installed. I will do the mounting myself and just have them balanced at the shop to save about half of the total price at the dealer. The cobras were over 700 bucks installed so yeah that's not gonna happen.
I al so install my tires myself but do l al so the balancing, nothing to it really. I made my own setup for it but you can buy cheap things to balance your tires yourself.

I've manually balanced my tires before using the axle and jack stands so I may attempt this again as well but I will look into an actual stand like that.

Yes I did it to with axle stands for a car but the setup on the picture only cost 30 so give or take 35 USD.
Next time I need a change I'm buying one of these things to.

Awesome. Thanks for the suggestion! I will have to get myself one as well.
