How do you like the Wild Ones compared to the RSD bars? These are two I have been contemplating as well (knowing the RSD's require modification to work with TBW). Not sure if you had any visibility issues with the stock mirrors and bars, but if so, do the Wild Ones provide enough rise to help out? Bike looks great!

Hi everyone! I’m getting my 2020 Fat Bob 114 next Monday. Have a couple of questions:

- how’s the slack with stock cables and wires? Looking to get t-bars at some point, not sure about the height (I’m 6’2”)

- in Europe we have this beautiful plate holder (pic attached, not my bike)

that I want to get rid of. What plate holder are you using? I really like the one that’s under the rear fender.

Thanks! The RSD bars were great when not on long trips. I’m 5’ 10’ which seems like it’d be perfect height, but, I don’t like my arms near full lock while riding. The wild ones place the hand position below my elbow and slightly bent which allows me to carve and cruise without issue so I’m happy with them. It really came down to preference and riding style.
I had the typical visibility issue with stock mirrors and bars (seeing only shoulder); after switching to either one of these bars visibility increased ten fold with no need to upgrade mirrors, huge plus. If you decide to go RSD in the black ops color option (and don’t mind a couple very minor touch ups) let me know, I’ll be posting them for sale this weekend.

Congrats on the new ride. The "slack" on the upper clutch cable, upper brake line and control wires will allow you to go up 3" above stock max without swapping anything.

If you want to go higher, you will need to get a longer upper clutch cable, longer upper brake line and brake line adapter, and extended switch amd signal wires.

The throttle wire is long enough to go up to 12" rise bars for sure but still has some slack to maybe go higher without extending but not sure how much higher. Maybe another 2" or so.

Hope this helps and good luck. Congrats on the new ride again. You're gonna love it!

thanks for the info. Same height here and agree with not liking my arms locked out completely. I had Biltwell trackers on my nightster that I traded in for my fat bob and think the Wild Ones will give a more similar feel. Appreciate the heads up on the RSD’s, I’ll let you know!

Finished up the last 100 miles of break in today. Visited the Valles Caldera in the Jemez mountains of north-central NM. This is an inactive volcano which blew its top way back in the day and has been dormant since. The mound in the first picture keeps growing and I'm sure will eventually erupt again at some point. Pretty cool area and tons of Elk in these woods.

Installed my CR 480 yesterday. Let it sit so the lock tight can cure fully. Will be starting her up and going for a quick test ride this afternoon. Can't wait to feel the difference.

I expect you'll have some fun with that. The M8 really takes to a cam change with a well matched exhaust.

Well I know the cam works well with the Superstreet 2 into 1 based on FLS103's results with the combo. One thing I've come to realize is that living at 7200 ft above sea level, the horses don't like to run quite as strong as they do down at lower elevations. Haha

The bike is definitely running stonger and it doesn't fall flat in the upper RPM's anymore, but I assume the elevation makes it seem like it's not as drastic of a difference as everyone else seems to experience or makes it seem. It definitely pulls harder but it's not a night and day difference as everyone states it is.

I guess I'll need to go up to a 128" kit to get the night and day difference here at the higher altitude where I live. Overall I'm pretty happy with it and maybe it will improve with a dyno tune.

I found full throttle to redline in first and second gear to be the most noticeable night and day difference.
