Just ordered a SS amp and two sets of polks for my 2012 Ultra limited. Cheapest i found the Polks today were $136.00 a set shipped.Pricing seems to be all over for those. I want to add the xm module to the stock HK radio. I understand i will need to relocate both the CB and the xm module. Has anyone had any problems with the xm reception using the SS amp? I wanted to try and keep the xm antenea under the fairing also and I was reading about a reception issue with FM, I guess I will keep my big whips on the back for now. I tried emailing the link that was given in a differant thread on the person that had made the relocation brackets, have not heard back hopefully he is still around.
Might as well ask another question too. How does the speakers hold up with tghe polyfill. Does it hold ion too much heat?? I ask because i aslo found rear speaker boxes that cover the back of the speakers and a comment was made about heat build up with the boxes when driving the speakers hard.
yeah scott is still around.. here's his info again just in case... I have the Xm antenna under the fairing for my Zumo weather and no problems with that. It seems to only affect FM reception and then what I'm seeing is only those without the stock whips...

I as well as many audio installers out there have been using polyfil since the 80s without issue, heat or otherwise. Not sure what exactly you're referring to with the heat build up and boxes but man I can tell you, that's never been an issue.
So whomever made that comment that you read, I'm not sure where that info came...
That was the email i used thanks. In the pic, is that the complete bracket, so it will hold both relocated modules and amp above radio or is that two seperate purchases?
I have the stock factory pods in the back, is there a clean way to hide the crossovers since I read they will not fit in the pods? Been thinking on going with the zumo with xm just for the weather, we have the xm weather in a plane on a garmin 496. Works great for that. I hate all the exposed wires and have a Nuvi on it already, so have been thinking of just adding the module.
Here are a few picks of the Bracket installed with SS amp, I only have the CB module. also here is a link showing how i modified the bracket to secure the amp.https://www.hdforums.com/forum/audio...light=modified

Also, if you can't get hold of scott let me know.. I have an unused bracket that I bought from Scott a few months ago when I was going to go a different route with the stock headunit but never used it. $40 shipped to you...

He emailed me back later last night and shipped it out this morning. Thanks for the offer!
