Thinking about getting back into a Dyna

I have had my 2015 LR for just about 5 years. I demo'd some of the new M8s when they first came out. There is no doubt the M8s have some improvements (the 114 Fat Bob was very nice) but I plan on keeping my Dyna for many years to come. I would love a 2nd or 3rd bike but I am only ridding about 6500 miles a year.

After stupidly abandoning my absolutely perfect in every way, 2016 Low Rider S for various 2018+ softails, and never really feeling the love for any of them that I had for my LRS. Even the 2020 Low Rider S is a better machine in every way, but it just doesnt feel like my Dyna did.
However Im wondering if its just me. So Im looking at a 2017 Low Rider S at my local dealer this week. Going to take it for a ride, just to get a feel for it. That said, I probably wouldnt buy it. Id likely pick up a 103 Low Rider or street bob as a starting point to build up. Do my cosmetic and suspension stuff myself and probably get a FuelMoto big bore kit or similar. Definitely want something with ABS, which is harder to find on the Bob then the LR, but the Bob is more blacked out which is where itll go so may be the better choice. I can add a Arlen Ness big brake rotor on the single disc.
Probably will keep the Softail S for now, until at least I finish the Dyna project and dont have a need for it. Who knows.

I was initially very excited about the 2020 lrs and was considering a trade in, but after riding one I'm quite keen to keep my 17 fxdls. The dyna is just more fun to ride. The new LRS felt like a metric cruiser to me. Not much of a lasting impression imo.
