Funny that you should post here DK, I just ordered your coil and horn relocation kit and a set of the bear traps. I look forward to getting them on the bike. Since this Dyna is a 2002 I ordered the cut to fit wires as the plugs are offset on the coil. Looking for other suggestions for this bike as well. I am thinking a C&C fastback black vinyl with a drivers backrest. http://www.dkcustomproducts.com/TRIP...DK-BTT-CFP.htm
I asked for all black ones and Kevin siad they will be out in a few weeks. http://www.dkcustomproducts.com/99-1...n-Kits_c52.htm
Another question for people who know as I know someone out there knows. Is there a quick detach sissy bar available for 2000-2005 Dynas? If so can some please post a link. Also I would much prefer a black one but it could always be powder coated.
The tins are at the painters now as well. I was not planning on doing all this at once, but once the tank was off that was it. Might as well.
I gotta see where this goes in case I missed something on my FXDXT...
As far as QD sissybar; don't you just use the HD hardware and plates??? I made mounts so my bags and solo rack are QD...was pretty easy...
Can you elaborate on this with pics? That would be much appreciated. My side plates bolt between the strut and the fender but they are wrinkle black which is how I want them.
Got all the rest of the stuff for the cam swap ordered and it will be done on Memorial Day weekend and hopefully the tins will be ready as well. Ordered this tank decal that will go well with my paint. http://www.ebay.com/itm/170831583160...#ht_500wt_1096
Ordering cables and such today that will fit with the 13" LA Choppers club bars as everything was a little but too short that was stock. I was going to opt for Magnum black pearl cables but decided on steel braided instead for a bit of contrast. All that is left to order is adjustable pushrod tubes and a few gaskets.
Hey Sharky you had to modify the bags a little for the QD rack if I recall? I think there are several posts out there on that mod, I bought everything but have not gotten around to doing the mod yet. on a side note has anyone you know gone to a larger compensating sprocket? I'm looking to go from 25 to 27 teeth, the 103 should have no problem pulling it and I can't afford the 6 speed right now this build is getting expensive!
I think I used 2 sets of detachable spools and a short extension on the bottom fender catch; I'll try and take a couple of pics tomorrow (long days up here right now). Yeah; I did have to trim the plate on the back of the T Sport bag a bit to use detachable rack/bar side plates...pics to follow
Thanks for the info guys. I think I'll just use my non detachable sissy bar mounts for now and get a black attitude stick in 18 or 30 from Cycle Visions. I am getting a set of the bags through Conely Customs down in San Diego when they are ready. When I spoke to John last week he said about 2 months or so and he has a waiting list. I can't find hsi number right now but I have it somewhere.
Who knows what size the banjo is for the master cylinder on my fxdxt? Also, I am going to be putting on Brembo's off a bagger. What size is that banjo? Thanks.
