I got the SE Compensator and Hayden M6 for my build as well. Should make the entire drive much smoother and the SE comp. should add the extra cushion to the botom end when I really crack the throttle.
I hope so. Haven't had good enough weather to really evaluate the two parts yet.
Back to work: removing lifter covers and gaskets. Those lifter covers were stuck on pretty well so I tapped them loose with a rubber mallet and a short piece of wood - careful, when they do let loose, they what to fly!
Working to remove the case today, great temperatures today but rotten for my next 2 days home from work. I don't want to post a ton on removing the case because I think very few followers will do this but any questions or advice, I am all ears - wish me luck, uncharted waters!

We want to see the case removal! Don't forget to replace the engine/transmission gasket.
Hey Matt, besides the sealing bolts and the Compensating Sprocket bolt, what other parts/gaskets on the primary side to I have to replace - I was just there less than a year ago?

I don't like to re-use gaskets, so:
60547-06 Outer primary cover gasket
Derby cover gasket (I have changed my cover to one that uses the pancake style 25416-99C)
You'll want to get an eye on your inner primary bearing seal when the covers off, of course taping the splines of the mainshaft prior to removal. If it's at all suspect, replace it while in there.
I think your stator has to come off which means 4 new screws/bolts for it. IIRC they're one time use (due to the heads snapping off from repeated installation). Those are # 3050 and should come with dry threadlock pre-applied.
Crankcase gasket 34934-06.
That's all that comes to mind. Double check the PN's haven't changed since 2009 where I got them from.

Did you mean starter - 2 bolts? I was afraid you would recommend all gasket - ouch, the primary cover gasket is about $22, if it leaked it would be an easy fix, so I thought I might skip that one?
I have reused just about every gasket there is, at least once, sometimes twice depending on the condition of the gasket; no leaks. The only exception is the head gasket and I re-use them after torqueing once or twice to check squish and valve to piston clearance. Personal preference.
If the primary gasket looks good, put a film of black rtv on it and re torque. Give it over night to dry and peel dried bead away. Works for me. Of course only if you do your own work for yourself and recheck next couple days..
