It seems that if your having your indy split the cases then Darkhorse don't actually need the cases to do their magic right? Once your indy guy gets them back then he justs buttons it back up, there's nothing special Darkhorse needs to do?
If that's the case(pun intended) then that's great news for me and others that might have to this after checking crank run out.
Yes if you are having a shop split the case then all darkhorse needs is the entire crank and not the right or left case halfs.

I know HD Bobber chimed in and I will add on. Several of the more experienced Forum members recommended to me to send the case to Darkhorse and I understand why better now than before. If DH has the case they can inspect the case bores for alignment, they can to an expert job on the Timken and installing the SE "lefty" bearing if needed, inspect the cam bores, beautiful job of resealing the case, etc, etc - they are the pros hands down. I still don't regret what I have done but I have a great deal of confidence in my Indy, if you do not have somebody like that then sending the whole case to DH would be the way to go. I have now watched a video (Rev Perf?) on packing a case and have read enough to realize it is not that hard.
Build updates: My case was shipped on Friday, so according to HD Bobber I should have it back to my Indy in about 2 weeks, then 2-3 days back to me reassembled in the case with the Timken conversion. A bump in the road has been the pistons, AMS uses GMRs pistons for the 107s and there is some question if Steve at GMR uses off the shelf CP pistons or has some kind of customized CP pistons - would not matter but Darkhorse wants to know the weight for balancing, so trying to figure that issue out. Should be picking up the cylinders, pistons, and heads this week - will post pics.
John at DH did recommend welding the crankpin, along with replacing the wristpin bushings. So with the $495 SCB Service, and those 2 extras the DH bill is ~ $625.
Those too. I didnt have an accurate scale. We do have some shady characters round here that might have a scale but that would be an awkward request.

I would agree. When they called and told me my bottom end was ready to ship ( or, my bill was due ) I asked abought wrist pin fit in the new "H beam" rods, he said they have a control pin from CP.

I have a small digital scale that measure in grams. You can find them pretty cheap.
I just CC'ed my cyl heads that got back from FM, 86.6 and 86.4. So assuming a -003 deck will put me right @ 10.6, perfect!
I am seeing the 86.0cc to 86.5cc numbers(newer TCs) from a lot of guys who do a ton of builds. I plugged your ~ 86.5cc and my other build info into the Big Boyz calculator and got 10.65:1 static and 9.63:1 corrected - should be real nice for Tman 590s.
