You are going really like the D&D. If you remember we did our builds around the same time. Mine has been flawless and I have been really enjoying it.
Road over to Reno last month and had an awesome time on the first long ride. My brother rides a stage one 103, when we stopped for fuel we would literally use the same amount of fuel. 40 MPG
Certainly I remember, you had several helpful inputs. Been real happy with my build with the exception of the torque dip, just wanted to keep the Bassanis because I love the sound and looks and they perform pretty well at 3000 rpms and higher.
Have no idea what my mpg is, probably not too good the way I like to ride!
Hey thanks Bobber, I told you I was trying to catch up!
Yeah, got the wrapped perforated baffle that D&D recommends for built engines.
I got the wrapped too. Was gonna get the unwrapped but they said it was going to be extremely loud....that of course depends on the person, but I was worried that it would sound to "empty tin can like".
These performance mods are definitely an addiction.....wife is learning to deal with it
Do not listen to these guys Suede, they're just trying to get you to spend more money and void your warranty, do not read this thread anymore, just walk away right now and stop thinking about cams and deep breathing heads and pulling the front wheel up with ease.
Walk away Suede, walk away now.
Dropped by GMR today and got my Dyno scheduled for Nov 12th. I know Steve likes to use the standard HD flared type exhaust gaskets, but I wanted to make sure whether to use those or the D&D provided ones and he said the flared style. So off I went to HD and bought 2 sets of them, $7 each - ouch!
Got to go on a 4 day trip tomorrow, so will change the pipes out sometime towards the end of next week.
Also, Steve cranked up his 124" bike for me to listen to.....
