Going to put in a Woods TW-222 cam in my 2011 Road king. Do I have to change out the cam plate and oil pump? That doubles the price of the cam upgrade.

I have 2010 SG with 8XXX miles and I recently did a stage 2.
My indy suggested only a cam since the bike has such low miles, but I ended up changing the cam, cam plate, oil pump, pushrods and tubes, tensioners, etc. I don't think I HAD to do it, but I figured since it was open, might as well. It does raise the price, but I was looking more down the road as I don't plan on upgrading to a new bike.
I'm doing the same thing with my primary. With the stage 2, my clutch is slipping in 5th gear so I'm upgrading that and changing the compensator as well. Might as well since it's already open.
No need to replace the oil pump or cam plate unless they have issues.. Definitely replace the cam bearings and what tuner are you going with or you going to have a dyno tuned? The 222 performs well in a 103 you'll like that..
