ABS is mandatory across Europe.
I read a guy's comment about someone who claimed to have 20 years experience and the reply was maybe you have one years experience 20 times.
For us recreational riders who don't do the winter season ABS might be a life saver although we should spend the first few outings in the spring practicing.
The only time however I locked the back wheel was during my test.
Screw it, I want mandatory outriggers! Not one of those guys crashed. Seriously though, while I personally like ABS, traction control, seatbelts, helmets, etc., I wholeheartedly believe that none of it should be mandatory. It is not the government's job to protect me from myself. And yes, the driving tests are completely useless and only intended to make revenue.
Don't laugh. It wouldn't surprise me if mandatory outriggers (training wheels??) are already being considered in some bureaucrats office as we speak. Where is your lane splitting now!

For the folks that think abs should be mandatory, what will you think when the NTSB decides everyone needs four wheels under them instead of two "for their own safety"?
get back to us when they start saying that.
"Slippery slope" arguments only work when the slope is actually slippery.
