Need to run a few more auto tune runs. My knock issue got worse after reducing the timing in the affected cells. Any suggestions on the way I should ride during auto tune other than being smooth on the throttle?

I wouldn't use the log file from the auto tune. You run auto tune to get your VEs straight that's all that it's used for. After you get the VEs done you add your fuel settings in Afr table, flash that and then ride the thing with your new tune running data logs and manually adjust for pings using the PV software.

Thanks Dave, I use the log file from the flash after the auto tune, but when I reduced timing to stop the knock events, they got worse. I did another 2 auto tunes today and rode it pretty hard with several high load throttle tunes and got a rather large 7% change in the VE tables. Guess it isnt ready for AFR and knock adjustments just yet. Unfortunately the rain has arrived...

Use your gauge settings.
With the PV mounted to the bike hit the data icon and then gauges.
After you set up your gauges there is a button at the bottom right of the screen that says "start log", the little window on the bottom left it will show you the log file number and memory remaining.

Like I mentioned in a prior post, Autotune is used to set VEs, once your VEs are set you can fatten up the fuel and start riding the bike like you normally would. Data logging is only used to show you where to make adjustments to fix any concerns.
At least that's how I do it using autotune basic, maybe someone with a better method will chime in.

When running a data log ride the bike and try to duplicate the concern that you want to address.
In my case I've had to deal with pinging under load, so I would ride my bike up a steep grade while logging.
The bike would ping, I'd capture the data and load the log file on to my computer and make any adjustments in the tune manually.

When I view the data log using Excel on my computer I get these parameters.

Time
IAT
Kpa
RPMs
Knock Retard Rear
Head temp
Knock Retard Front
AFR
Spark adv F
Spark adv R
Throttle pos.
Vehicle speed

I'm sure I could change those if I wanted.

Are you sure you're hearing a ping/ignition knock?
What does the data log say?

I added 100 OCTANE and still can't get rid of my knock. FACTORY timing with 100 octane should seriously NEVER knock I mean what the hell. Im honestly ready to turn the knock control OFF and be done with it. The bike runs like complete crap and sounds even worse when the thing pulls timing. DUMB

Is your bike stock?
My factory timing knocked in the 50kpa 2500rpm range with my set up.

Knock sensor have been known to pick up ghost readings.
Example loose exhaust bolt causing a vibration under certain RPM simulates a Knock condition.
So do some research on False Knock
That may be your issue
Remember if you disable the sensors and you are having detonation, you will jack your engine up sooner rather then later

These are the issues I have found in cars I have modded. I have not gotten to tuning the Ultra yet, my tuner is in the mail. Mods will start this winter
