Wheels and hubs finally done. Both rims (21 & 16) are aftermarket. Star hub is OEM that I had powder coated and rebuilt. Dual flange hub is new from W& W Cycles (only place I could find one that wasn't chrome or beat to $hit). Spokes are Buchanan stainless.

Still waiting on a shop up in Concord CA to get my tranny high gear sized to a new case race. Said 10 days; been almost 3 weeks. Frustrating to say the least. Almost wants to make me spend the money on the tool and hone it myself.

Spent the last couple of weeks cataloging pics (24 sections) and adding a short description of items and work so the my niece has something to compare (before and after) the finished bike to. Told her once it's done she is gonna need to increase the insurance value on it (she had it insured for 10K; definitely not enough once done).

Sometime next week I should be getting my cylinders back from LA Sleeve. I have one cylinder that has a broken fin (on the top). I do not have the missing piece. Anyone have a suggestions as to where I can send it to have it repaired?

If you have your cylinders re-sleeved by LA Sleeve they inscribe a number to them. On the underside so that it is not visible. Great way to inspect tho if someone makes a claim about the origins of a cylinder re-sleeve.

Front cylinder is out for vapor blasting

Tranny case and lid are back and can finally get reassembled

Jims race machined for Andrews high speed gear and standard size rollers

Remove the plug for the reverse pin - that happens is the bearing case housing does not sit flat with it installed and loads the main bearing crooked once its tightened in place

check what i wrote you will see what happens - have 50 of them if you loose one

Lid reassembled with shifter shaft timed to shift gear and shift gear to shifter cam; cam follower and neutral indicator switch

Shifter gear shift cam assembly finally back together. Had to take it all apart (after the first reassembly) because I couldn't grab all gears. Turns out I had the shift cam in neutral. Thought I had it in 2nd gear.

Transmission case back together and checking alignment of shift forks (1&2; 3&4)

New starter gear (pic of old below it) for the starter; clutch release bearing; longer crank shaft ( all part of the Cannonball kit)

Kicker arm with pedal from Chicago Cycle Supply; transmission mounted to base with 'even pull' kit from V-Twin #17-6655 (replaces the single adjustment screw on the right rear of the transmission). For me, the kit is a must have when running a belt drive and allows me to make sure I have the belt running perfectly straight.

Know I'm a bit biased but I still think this is the nicest looking gear case cover that MoCo put on a motorcycle
