I'm not gonna argue with ya, the title of the thread says it all....post whatever ya want, I am not a mod....LOL
Now... just to show I can admit when I am wrong
If you just go by the title I am not wrong BUT if you read the originators post then I likely misunderstood as it states no catalog or store bought items.
Considering that, it looks like you're right and I'm wrong... sorry.

That's cool. There are other threads on here for that stuff and we all buy it. I have pegs and grips and pipes and the BSS S2 air cleaner...etc.
I really was not intending to argue with ya, just pointing that out. There is very limited inflection on these posts, aside from these maybe:
Ok, here's a variation on the horn, headlight switch for the remote opener. I just used the PTT switch on the left handlebar on my Road Glide. The wires are #13 and #14 in the schematic. Orange/black and Violet/black. Just look for the connector that is to the right of the radio when looking aft at the inside fairing. It will be the light grey one. I just pulled the slip-over covering off the harness and cut and spliced in an extension wire to the switch on the remote, zip tied everything, and Voila! Works great, completely stock looking.

Instead of spending the $80+ on a rolling shifter peg I decided to "make" one.
1.Remove the stock shifter peg bolt then take off the rubber peg boot. Retain bolt.
2.Cut a piece of ˝" CPVC slightly longer ( maybe a 1/16th) than the inside length of the rubber boot (not the whole boot just the inside "tube"). Sand edges if you cut with a dull hacksaw like I did.
3. Place the rubber boot in boiling water for about 45-60 seconds.
4. Force the piece of CPVC into the boot until you have an equal amount of the excess CPVC (1/32nd on each side) exposed on the inside length, again not the whole boot. Let cool. The CPVC will now "roll" against the stock shifter bolt head and the shifter arm.
5. Reinstall on the shifter lever with the stock bolt.
Now you have a rolling shifter peg that hopefully will not scuff non "riding" footwear.
This is probably ghetto, but when I was on long rides, I wanted easy access to fluids while at traffic lights, etc (IOW, i didn't want to dig through my bags), I took a bottleholder off a mountain bike, and 2 hose clamps, and attached it to my left pass. peg. Pic below aint the best, but you get the idea...Passengers can still use the peg (can't use both at the same time though)
Now I have to come up with one for my Street Glide
