When I decided to go to the open air cleaner I looked for a cover but could not find any I liked. So I decided to make my own. I liked the look of the SE trim ring so I found a air cleaner off a 05 softail on ebay for $10 and cut the center out of it and then put The SE trim ring on. The trick is getting an older air cleaner cover because the inside ring is round and gives a reference to cut to and also covers the metal top on the K&N air filter. It took quite abit of time grinding to make it round. Tell me what you guys think.
Total cost was $23
Nice job Tony. Looks real good.

Christ Mud, that's one hell of big AC graveyard you got there.
Hmmm, wonder if you could recycle them by fitting clock faces in them, or make them into lamp bases?
Make for an interesting new kind of home decoration.
I knew you'd want these Frank.
I'm boxing them now.
Yours for the cost of shipping.
Be sure to post pix of the clocks and lamps.

Very funny, but its not really a bad idea, the clocks anyway.
But I already have a Harley clock, and I don't think the wife would let me put another one, or more around the house.
