Its a real shocker when your staring to go into a turn at only a couple of miles an hour and the engine drops stone dead on you.
I found out that a Harley is a really heavy bike when its trying its damnedest to fall down on you unexpectedly.
Not to mention its embarrassing as hell trying to look like you know what your doing and nothing is working until you figure out how you screwed up.

45 min of taping and a couple pieces of vapour barrier I had lying around = black trips - (and I hit my marker mounts at the same time)




old extension cord the dog chewed up= good strong orange casing for running wires threw the frame on a new build.

My buddy and I have removed our primary's, cam covers, tranny covers, rear fender supports etc.... 3 nice even coats and 20 minutes in the oven at 200 degrees and it's holding up as well a friends factory night train winkle black
Not sure I would have the guts or patience to do that much of the bike without taking everything apart first.

ta2dup, that might be a good way to bundle and protect wires being threaded through handlebars.
But I would not recommend leaving it anywhere on the bike after its done the job.
While even the best extension cord covering made today is very good at its job.
Its just not designed to handle long term exposure to water, gas, oil, engine heat and occasional road salt a bike will see.
JCP88, While using Very High Temp paint for engine parts is old news.
The idea of using an oven to bake it on (poor man's powdercoat?) other parts that don't get hot is very clever.
I'm just not sure my wife would think its so clever if she went to make dinner and found a bunch of bike parts stinking up her oven.
