Hello Rad; With that cam I think you'll have a great torque monster. I did a 124 with lower compression(starts out at 10.2 to 1 and with other factors comes out to 9.8 to 1) and ended up with 127hp/132 torque with the tq peaking at 3200. Perfect for me anyway. What are you using for a throttle body? I use a 58mm hpi. Getting in the mid 40's and as high as 48 mpg. Awesome for going down the road.
i am running a 58 as well. It's going in Monday for the Dyno, i will post the results. what air cleaner are you running with your TB?

Got my results in today, must say i am a little disappointed. 111hp/120tq.
I know that altitude will play into this, and i am 2500ft above sea level. But i
really thought i would get more out of this motor. Especially with the cams that are in there.
Peek tq is at 5200rpm peak hp is at 3200rpm. Was your 124 a twin cam B?

Your HP is falling off way to early. That's an indicator that your engine is not breather good, in a good breathing engine the HP should keep climbing to the rev limiter. Something is holding it back. What a/c and pipe are you running?

i am running the screaming eagle 58mm air cleaner with a stainless steel filter. exhaust is a vance and hines 2 into 1. do you have any recommendations for a good a/c. its hard to find one to fit the 58mm TB.
here is the Dyno Chart, Horsepower does seem to be off.
120r with SE 58mm throttle body, stainless steel filter. woods cams TW408-6, hi flow injectors, vance and hines 2 into 1 exhaust.

Wow that's one horrible looking graph,, maybe it's in your tune. Your SE 58MM backing plate should be fine, try a better Hi flow filter than the one that comes in the kit. More importantly it looks like it needs a good tune. How does it run?
Is there any one out there that's doing an 80" build? Every one is going to bigger motors and forgetting how to build a small block. Show your Talent bring on the numbers. Currently I'm at 85 hp and 94 lbs torque. That will all be changing in the next few weeks and I will post but till then I would really love to see some 80" builds. Hammer Down......
i'm not running the factory paper filter. i have a ultra high flow full stainless steel filter (outer cage and fine mesh). no fibres or papers at all. its as free as you can get. other than a velocity stack. seems to run good, pulls pretty hard. I think ill take it to another place for a second dyno. That horsepower curve just doesn't look right!
