I don't have a before sheet. I had it dynoed twide elsewhere and funny enough the nubmers were about the same. The guy 3 Dyno runs on the previous runs so something is not adding up elsewhere. But this thing has serious power now, that is all I can say. It would be nice to say I got 100/100 or whatever, but I can't argue with the streetability of this thing now.

They are 84HP and 95TQ.

He spent 3 hours tuning my ride, over and over and over again until he was satisfied that he had it tuned the best he possibly could. Intially, my AFR was all over the place. He spent at least an hour just on smoothing the AFR. There was a lot fo discussion regarding parts of teh process that were over my head, so I will just say this....

The bike runs like a top! This thing will surely smoke many bikes out there now.
The bike runs so smooth and the torque is absolutely immediate all the way through the band. I have not burned enough gas yet to figure out my mileage, but I am sure that it is better now than it was before as I told Geoff I wanted a streetable tune.

I just went thru the same thing. I had hopes of 80+ HP but fell short. The guy asked if I wanted 80 HP, as he could adjust the tune, but I would be slower and have less real power.

They spend 3.5 hours getting it tuned right. Power seems like night and day for the 12 HP/TQ or so that I gained. I just wish I understood the curves and AF ratio better.

I feel Horney Toad H-D in Temple TX did me well. They really seem to like the HD tuning devices and have really good end results with them from what I have read. At first I thought they just pushed the HD brand.

I guess I might do a Dyno run in the winter and see if I hit 80+ HP...

They are 84HP and 95TQ. I spent a long time talking with Geoff Gaites (Cycle Doctor) about the meaning of numbers and their relevance regarding a Dyno tune. As far as he is concerned nubmers mean practically nothing. Any good tuner can manipulate the nubmers so they come out higher to please the customer. He continued on to explain exactly what he does when he tunes a bike. He uses 02 sensors as opposed to a copper sniffer in the exhaust. It is much more accurate and adjustments can be fine tuned much better.

I am very satisfied with my Cycle Doctor experience and with the tune I got. I learned that my older PCIIIR is not as versatile as the PCIII USB, as the rear cylinder cannot be tuned like the front one with my PC, but the fatcat kept things pretty much the same which is a good thing.

Geoff also agrees that the best tuner out there is the TTS with a good Dyno tune. I hioghly recommend having your bike Dynoed by Geoff as he takes his time and tunes it right, over and over until it is perfect. Tell him I sent you!

Thanks!

Drew

I would have expected a little more... then again I also thought I would get more out of my build but...its more than 20HP stronger than before and thats pretty cool. Looked at your dyno sheet and it looks like there is still room for more tuning in the 2.3-2.5rpm range - could squeeze a couple more HP's if you had that tuned again after a few months. Either way decent numbers and alot more fun! Enjoy and be safe with the unintensional burn outs!

Looks good Drew. Nice curve. The 2n1 is working nicely. Despite not having peak numbers of 100, your bike can outperform other bikes with slightly higher peak numbers that have large dips due to 2n2's.

Agreed - not all dyno's are created equal so comparing them, the numbers, is somewhat a waste of time.

Apes or bb kit for the winter? Decisions...

113" Softail....
Baisley Super Stock Heads
HPI 55mm t/b, HPI 5.3 injectors, HPI Eliminator a/c
T-Man 590G cams
Fatcat w/ Std (louvered) baffle
Hoban Brothers/ Darkhorse Crank
CP Pistons
Tuned with TTS Mastertune
117.16/ 121.66

The comparison on the chart is Std baffle vs Big Bore Quiet baffle. In my application, the Std made power earlier, which is what I wanted.

I have an 88 with .520 lift conversion cams from Hogmaster, Forcewinder AC, and Hooker Troublemaker radius pipes. Tuned with a SERT. I pulled 81.43 HP and 89.41 TQ.

That's within a few points of dv8. Do I just have a really good setup? Pretty sure the 21's are .498 lift so cams are reasonably close (didn't look closely at intake and exhaust angles but assume they aren't too radically different). Just thought a 96 with cams and longer exhaust would have pulled numbers much higher than a comparably equipped 88.

Did you consider the Performance Baffle? The Performance Baffle is what I run because T-Man and Leonard at D&D recommended it. I have been wondering how the Standard and Quiet Baffle would compare with my setup? One thing I do know is the Performance Baffle sounds awesome!
