Hey Paul, if you're going for the Thunderbike risers but maintaining the stock handle bars be aware that there might be issues with the tank clearance. At least there were for me with the switch housings touching the tank on full steering both left and right. I had to install some spacers to gain more clearance which turned out to be a good decision in terms of comfort, too.
Nope I don't go to any of their events. To go up there and back would take me 3 days....too much time and money (accommodation) involved.
ok buddy thankyou for the tip would it be at all possible to take a pic and so I can see how your risers look.
After getting the new switch into the bracket and testing it, I cleaned the barrel of the new switch, the inside of the lever, the hole in the lever for the set screw and the set screw itself with acetone. I put some RED Loctite on the barrel of the switch - a drop on the flat and a drop on the side opposite of the flat. I put a drop on the screw and just snugged it down. Don't go full retard on the thing like we did before, LMAO!
I don't want that thing walking off ever again...so far, so good
NSR you forgot to tell me about the big bonus you get doing it this way!!! Two extra keys..... I couldn't believe it. At least we get something extra for the price they charge.
Only joking of course saying "you forgot to tell me"(i couldn't think of any other way to write it). But loved the bonus. Funny thing is I never really lock it anyways. But still want it working
Has anyone fitted the Thunderbike upper fork covers, I was looking at the tube 49 covers but they will only fit with the Thunderbike 49 triple tree's, I'm wondering if anyone has had a set and made them fit with the stock triple tree's.
Another question... I have just bought a bug spoiler for my BO, do i need to drill holes to keep air flow to the regulator or does it not get that hot ??
