TM isn't anything new in the Harley world either. Now they are using more tables for the input, but still not as many as GM. Some will work around it with the program and some will unplug sensors. They did leave the VE tables in place. I am sure that was for calibration development. It will get interesting when VE goes away all together and we will have to deal with something like VVE tables.

Some images of the factory head pipe & crossover on the 2017 Milwaukee Eight bikes.

Key points:
catalyst is moved rearward with larger outlet than earlier models
left outlet is further back
head pipe mounts to engine cases with P clamp
12mm narrowband O2 sensors have been moved upstream closer to exhaust port
crossover pipe has an S bend and the volume is compressed more than earlier pipes
material is now stainless steel

Interesting to see what I have read about. I don't know if this is the place for this, but wouldn't the smaller outlet from the catalyst really promote less gases moving through that port? It's already at a 90 degree angle from the other outlet which goes straight back, and is larger. I am confused on how this creates good back pressure. Am I missing something here?

Catalyst looks faily free flowing, did you do a sound check without mufflers? Looks as though secondary back pressure relieves through the l/s muffler, Certainly a set of slipons will give quite achange of flow.

We have already tested several types of mufflers and baffle designs, and while there is some nice performance gains and better sound there is considerable restriction in the head pipe. The 2017 stock mufflers actually do not have much as far as baffles compared to earlier models, they are much lighter as well.

I agree, when I took the stock mufflers off mine for the Street Cannons I was immediately surprised how light they were compared to previous stockers. There didn't seem to be much restriction in them. The SE mufflers are a tad louder but not much, then again loud mufflers rarely mean performance gains, just more noise. It's all about velocity and flow. I would be curious what a set of E Series mufflers would do. Had the E Series Universal on a Propipe headpipe on my Road Glide and run the E Series 2-1 system on my Dyna now.

Firmware and maps are free, if you already have a Power Vision you will just need a Tune License which runs $199.00
