tried to tune with one of the selected files vci programmed alright and got to 65% on programming the ecm and it aborted it self now bike won't start any idea's i tried all other calibration files to the same dismay 65% and abort been at it for hrs and tried to different computers and no go
The only thing I can think is to either pull the main fuse for 30 seconds or better yet unplug the ECM to cut power to it completely, then plug it back in and try again. It almost sounds like maps downloaded to the VCI are somehow defective. Or as nutsandbolts said maybe a defective tuner. I have the Pro Street Tuner and have worked with it quite a bit and have had no issues.
Nope I haven't tried any more yet. I will try tonight when I get off work. I have pulled and checked fuses as well as disconnected the battery and touched cable ends to clear ecm caps figured I would let it sit with no power for several hrs as I have read to let it sit with no power for 8 hrs to clear ecm.
Make certain you get back to us with how it goes, OP...there's always things to be learned from these problems...
See below.
Didn't want this to get lost on the huge tuner thread, so I'll post here. I purchased a SE Pro Street Tuner, installed software on my laptop, watched all the tutorials, connected to my 2012 Fatboy Lo, laptop connected to ECM, started Smart Tune process and got the error message "reflash aborted". Tried many things to rule out bad ports, bad software download, low battery charge, etc. Same error. Then, bike would turn over but wouldn't start. Hauled to my dealer. Standard tune or flash was gone. I wiped it out somehow. They flashed stock tune into bike. Then found rear O2 sensor disconnected and front O2 sensor bad. I never fooled with the O2 sensors before..! I know, weird, right? Anyway, after O2 sensor issues were corrected, no more problems. Tuner works perfectly! I can tune my bike myself. I wanted others to know what I experienced, before they had to pull their hair out.
I'm no techno geek, so pardon me if I used the wrong terminology. I hope this helps someone.
