I have put some LED lites on my bike to enhance the visibility for other drivers. I put 5 red brake lite pods on my tour pack and added a couple of amber for turn signals,,,after my buddies said my stock signals weren't bright enough. all in all,,for about $30 I made myself more visible and didn't make the bike look too bad. I also found some chevron,stick-on LEDs for putting on mirrors on cars/trucks,,,I don't remember how much they were.but found them at AutoZone.

Default help with garage door mod.

I know this has been beaten to death but I need some help. I need to know how to make the remote "always on" so that flipping the secondary acc switch on my RKC steering column will activate the remote. ANYONE?

Take the remote apart and find the location where the power wires are attached to the printed circuit board. Should be a 4 position soldered location. Cut a small piece of wire and jump it across the solder points until the door activates. Solder that wire in that position. Now your always on. Now to activate with the switch, solder the wires from the battery terminal connections to the acc switch. Be SURE your opener is 12 volts. Here is a link to step by step. http://www.kawiforums.com/showthread.php?t=20947

Thanks rustybearing, I managed to figure it out. Soldering is not my strong point. I had to read an on line "how to". Stupid soldering iron wouldn't get hot enough. DUH how about cleaning it. Anyway I managed to get it all wired up to the high beam switch. Powered by the bike battery. (yes remote was 12v). Next project has got to be the radio shack siren.

Tested it out today and it seemed to work great. Now I have to take it all a part again and clean it up, trim them down a bit, and paint them up.

Here is how the pack looks 2" back.
Thanks for the idea and this thread! I just did the same thing on my 05 Road King for $16 in parts (I splurged for stainless fasteners).

Get the stick on rubber furniture feets, and put 4 on the bottom of your saddlebags.

will protect the paint when you take them off and realize once you are holding it that you need a soft place to set it down.

from the dollar store: "magic slider grippers" bubble pack with about 16 feets, self adhesive, about 1/4" thick various sizes from 1/2" round to 1" round

Aluminum diamond plate 6" windshield i made. I took a drag specialties 6" windshield and clamped it down on top of the diamondplate then scribed it out. Then used a band saw to cut it out. After that i rolled it slightly on a sheetmetal roller. Now im just waiting for it to come back from my powder coat guy.
