Can someone please tell me the difference between the stock seat that is smooth with harley davidson imprinted across seat and the seat that has the patern across the center
(looks like street glide seat) any difference in comfort???? what years were they made? I have been told that the Road Glide seat will be alot more comfortable than my stock
04 E-GLIDE seat but what is your thoughts THANKS IN ADVANCE FOR ANY IMPUT AND COMMENTS....HAPPY NEW YEAR TO YOU AND YOURS!!!!!! JAKESTER..TIM.....[sm=thanx.gif][sm=feedback.gif]
The ones with the patterns generally come matched to the bikes graphics. I don't know if there is any difference between the two. I just swapped a guy with a road glide for his seat and gave him my Ultra seat. It has the pattern because it is an anniversary seat. I would render a guess that if you bought an all black road glide, you would not get a seat with the pattern in the middle. If you bought one with silver graphics, you would get a seat with a silver pattern in the middle, just a guess don't quote me. It works better for me than the ulta seat
I much preferred the seating position of the RG seat to the stock EG seat; moved me back an inch or two which was great; the EG seat made me feel like I was sitting on the gas tank and I'm only 6'1".
The smooth one with the logo imprinted was stock on bikes until 2004 I believe. In 2004 they went to the one with the pattern down the center of the seat.
hey fuys I have a road glide seat with the logo on it i used it for a few months it is in great shape
I also have a stock elactra glide (0-5)seat if anyone is interested I would be willing to sell them just PM me
The one with the logo, is the one sold in the catalog, the other is off a stock bike. Ive had both and like the stock rg seat better than the other.
+1 Used the one out of the catalog on a 6K mile trip out West and it bout to have killed me. My poor butt suffered.
Back to the stock seat now but am looking for some suggestions on a good seat.
