I am considering the 12" bagger apes to get the bars back closer to me. How far back can they be tilted before clearance with the tank, or some other part, becomes an issue. I don't want to be closer to the tank and bars, want them closer to me. Saw them on a 06 EG and the rise was more or less vertical but didn't turn the bars left or right to the stops to see if they could be tilted back and have tank clearance.
Not sure I like the grip angle on the HD pull back bars because of a busted up wrist that doesn't bend real well. I saw the Klock Werks ergo bars on a EG and don't think I can get enough pull back.
Looking for about 2" back on the bars.
If I could keep the stock cables and wiring that would be nice but figure they will have to be replaced. On a side question, why does the grip sensor have to be replaced, why can't the original one be used?
Mine are with ride. They run about 1 to 2 inches from the Hogtunes tweeter pod. Im not sure what they would look like with them pulled back. Alot of people that want pullback go with the WO575 and are pleased. Dont know if the Apes are what you are looking for.
Thanks for the info. I spoke with a representative at PYO and he said they did not work with the heated grips. Not impossible but VERY difficult to get all the wires through and I do want to run them internally. The WO575 might be the best choise since I don't really want height, just back. Frankly I like the contours of the stock bars and wish a riser was an option, but it ain't on a Limited
