On my Vulcan 750 I forgot to pick stand up a few times so it would stall when put in gear. Makes you feel stupid.
My Harley leans over way more, on Jiffy stand, you'd have to go past stupid to moron, to not know your stand is down.

I'be seen more than one HArley rider drive off with kickstand down. That first left turn must be a real bitch! Harley should have a safety switch. Best would be if you could start bike in neutral with stand down but couldn't put it in gear IMHO.
