Default S-100 Total Cycle Cleaner

I read a lot of comments on this forum both good and bad on the S-100 cleaner, so I thought I would report what I found when I finally used it.

I was a little unsure after hearing people talk about residual spots, and comments like "I wouldn't put it on my $30k bike", but I have to say I think it is a surprisingly good product.

I did not start with the paint; that cleans pretty well with the Harley wash or any good car wash. I pulled the bags off, sprayed it down, and squirted the cleaner on a section at a time ... back wheel, engine & stuff, front wheel, front forks & chrome. Sprayed it off with a sturdy stream each time just like the instructions say.

It is pretty amazing with the wheel dust and general engine cleanliness. Also with bugs ... I always have to work a while to get the critters off the crash bar, but not this time.

To finish up I did a quick wash down with the Harley wash liquid, dried it and polished like normal. Great results, none of the spotting like some people have complained about ... anywhere.

The really best plus was not having to bang, scrape, twist, and cut my fingers trying to get every little nook a cranny clean like normal ... I only touched the bike on the easy parts (paint & bars).

I had hoped that since the product is sold in the dealer I would be ok, and I am. Do not be afraid, the product is fine.

Like you I just bought some to try. I bought the big jug. With the price of this stuff I think I'll use it mainly for the engine and the hard to get to places. And after only one use I think it did a god job.

Ime, after you use it a few times, it has stripped off any wax residue from all those hard to reach places and starts becoming less affective. Even car wash soap has some wax in it if you buy the good stuff. I've used s100 before, and it has some merits, but it also has drawbacks. For me, the benefits don't outweigh the drawbacks. Washing a bagger sucks, but trying to remove spots from a bagger because of harsh chemicals sucks even more.

I bought it and have used it twice. That's it. I'm going back to carwash soap. I spent too much time trying to get rid of spots it left and it didn't do a good job on the spoked wheels.
Anybody want a large spray bottle of the stuff?

S100 is good stuff. My only advise is to use lots of rinse water. If you don't you could see winter spots or residue.

I use it on mine and my wifes bikes. and will never use it again. it left spots and had to scrub the bike after I used it. and rewash them. I was my impressed at all and with just go back to using my sparkle glass cleaner. it also seems to have removed all the chrome polish in some areas that I had just done 2 days before.

I have used both S100, in the bottle and the spray can. It does a good job on wheels, and engine. I have not had issue with spotting, but I don't leave it on very long 60 seconds at most, and rinse off well.

I wash out of the direct sunlight, that might help with not having spots, and I use my Stihl BG55 leaf blower to blow off as much water as possible and follow with the towel.

read the instructions

DO NOT USE on a hot bike.

The instructions also say not to let the product dry on the surfaces!
