Yesterday, leaving a school after a baseball win on the road, I witnessed one of the most bizarre moves I've seen in years. I had just pulled out onto the main drive and was stopped at the intersection red light. I've started riding the Ultra to away games as almost everything I need but our ball buckets and gear will fit in the pack. My assistant coach drives a Nissan pickup so he packs all that stuff. Anyway, kinda rehashing the game we just won in my head as I prepare for a sweet 55 mile ride back home. I'm heading straight into a setting sun so I decide to swap out my glasses for darker, polorized shades I keep in the shield bag. Just then a Harley pulls up beside me at the light, sweet sled, apes, loud, looking good. Tough guy doesn't acknowledge me, but revves up the motor good and loud so I know he's arrived. I keep my nod to myself and notice two joggers approach crossing from left to right. A man and woman and they begin to jog across the intersection. Just as they're midway across the street, the light changes. Rambo blasts Bat Outta Hell off the line and just misses hits the woman as he lane splits the couple. Literally inches from striking this couple, he wobbles, straightens up and blasts off into what had to be a night to remember. I followed but would have risked a speeding ticket, a major league speeding ticket, had I stayed with him. This stretch of road is a 35 MPH zone with ball parks and golf courses, schools and such all along the way. Can't imagine how fast he left, but almost know he didn't see the couple. 70's biker movies, here we come.

It's never ending. You can have a ride to raise awareness for child abuse and have at least half a dozen bikes almost hit kids in the parking lot.
Don't know, it surprised the heck outta me. I don't think he ever saw them until he just missed clipping the chick, then out of embarrassment maybe just ran it out? Could have been ugly.
stupid joggers. crossing the street when they shouldn't. They deserved to get hit.... the law is there for everyone to follow. They put themselves in danger.
Interesting that your so quick to blame the motorcycle rider, and not the two joggers who tried to dart across an intersection as the light was changing. Seems there plenty of blame to go around.
Not blaming, just observing a bad move. Maybe the guy is colorblind, or even blind? Maybe he was feeling good, really good on his meds? Maybe he just wanted to impress someone, some geez on a bagger, and just let his new rebuild outrun his judgment. Alls I'm saying is a moron-no disrepect intended-almost hit couple crossing the street.
Under Tennessee Code Section 55-8-134, a driver needs to yield to a pedestrian crossing the street in a crosswalk or in a school zone. The driver must remain stopped until the pedestrian has completely crossed the road. The driver also must do their best to avoid hitting a pedestrian even if they are illegally jaywalking. Further, under Tennessee Code Section 55-8-136, regardless of who has the right of way, a driver always needs to use due care to avoid hitting a person who is crossing the street. Drivers must especially use caution when children are close by (Tennessee Code § 55-8-136(a)). So blame, naw man, just observing.
