This new, to me, 2010 EGC is driving me nuts. From the compensator banging at start-up to the noisy primary. Sometime I hear the chain slap the case other times I hear the chain adjuster making a chit chat noise and lets not forget the noisy top end. (1400mi. on clock, that's it)
Here's the latest, I started paying attention to the oil pressure gauge. When under power it reads about 32 but at idle it drops to around 12. I'm not a newbe having owned a 2006 SG and putting over 41,000 miles on it so I'm comparing how that bike performed against the 2010. My SG read a little over 32 when underway and just below 32 when idling hot.
Are the newer (09 and up) bikes a different animal from my '06 and are all these little things that I am experiencing normal for a 2010?
I should probably stop analyzing every little thing and ride the hell out of it!
Your thoughts please.

Designed to satisfy the engine needs at 1k rpm idle, it can go to 8 without worry. High volume low pressure pump...about 8 per 1k rpm according to my dealer.
My psi actually drops a bit lower when hot. I don't worry about it. My comp was replaced. It made a clunk type sound when shutting bike off. Hell, 1400 miles, it's not even broken in yet. I know my 07 96" made so many noises, I'm surprised it did blow up. My 11 103 is much quieter. That's why I purchased the ESP warranty on both bikes.
I have the noisy compensator at start-up and noisy top end. I just live with it. Getting on the 06 Softail is a joy compared to that noisy *** 2011 103.
When I replaced the factory compensator on my 08 King, all of the worrisome and aggravating primary noises went away. From my experience, I suspect all of your noises are also just the compensator. Back then the common description was "box of rocks" and that was pretty accurate. It wasn't just noisy, it also ran rough, lots of vibration in the drive train. The new compensator fixed all of that. The newest comps may also develop their own problems, but while they are working properly, they are a major improvement.
