I'm 6'1" and for me, the buffeting caused more ear ringing than my exhaust. The fangs alone helped but didn't solve the buffeting. I used a measuring tape from the top of the stock 19" windshield with the help of an assistant to determine the height requirement for the new shield to reach nose level which for me was a 21 1/2" shield. I ordered the Freedom shield with the blacked out bottom and smoked top shield with the curve at the top.The improvement was so significant that I really can't adequately describe it. The wind noise is 90% less than it was.
JFYI, I installed a Freedom Recurve Shield on my Cherry, also with the blacked out bottom to stay with the OEM look.. In combination with a set of fangs it does a great job at reducing the wind buffeting.
I'm just the opposite of mongomark, Only 5'6 (and shrinking) and sit low in my Reach seat, so I chose their 15" size and it does a great job of pushing the wind up and over my helmet.
I can highly reccomend the Freedom Shield. That is the correct link.
In Mid September I will have (All in VERY good condition) Stock...set of saddle bags, gas tank & windshield for sale. Bike went almost all the way down (I stayed standing) in a minor bump that took most of the hit to the front fender. Lots of unnecessary stuff is being replaced. Harley service is getting a check from the insurance company so they marked everything up with their blue pencil.
Saddle bags: have a few shoe scuffs and nothing more.
Windshield: has a minor scuff around the size of a dime in the lower right corner (from the driver's viewpoint). Does not effect visibility at all.
Gas tank: I didn't see any marks but it being replace as well. I think the service guy circled a smudge of wax residue I missed polishing off! I will update if needed in Mid September when these parts are back in my hands.
Any reasonable offers will be considered!
I searched but didn't find much on this relative to the new heritage so here goes. Has anyone either installed or researched an audio system for your new bike. HD has a boom for it and Kuryakan has a set up also but want to be sure as I can be. TIA

Probably not the direction you want to go, but I'll put this out there for your consideration, if you wear helmets. This is what I do when riding my Heritage 114.

I use these too. Noise cancelling as well. But I find I grab one of the helmets with speakers instead almost all the time. But yep, earbuds can be a great choice, too. Course, we arent really answering the OPs question....
Does anyone have the power cams installed? I am happy with the torque but feel the hp falls off too early. But being HD cams, not sure they would add that much more to an already good motor. A dealer offered me a deal on a set that was returned so am curious. I have the bassani slip ons and a powervision tuner.
