Oh, they were just LED replacement lights for the huge lights on the Bob: Kuryakyn Bullet 1000 DF (for the rear) and for the front - something like these Drag Specialties LED lights here: https://www.jpcycles.com/product/240...ith-smoke-lens
What's flashing fast are the turn arrows in the speedo - the lights themselves function fine and flash at a normal frequency. But the fast flashing of the arrows is driving me nuts......
Now, the only reason I went to the dealer is because I saw on youtube that when the front lights are installed, you need to lift the tank and solder in a can-bus blinker load equalizer - something like this: https://www.ms-biketec.de/shop/harle...zer-ll-can-bus
That's the only reason I accepted the 4 hours labor - if you have to empty the tank and do that work, then it makes sense. What they did in "4" hours, I could've done that in 2 hours myself, and I'm not exactly handy with a soldering iron.
I also tried going through the step you recommend below (thank you), but that did not help - the arrows flash as if a bulb is out.
I have to go argue with them.... What a PITA.....
Yeah, those probably aren’t made for the new BCM. Ask them to check if your BCM if it has the LED setting. It may be the touring models only, I’m not 100%
I have that fast flashing in the dash with all my Softails that are converted with leds, never took the time to look in the BCM if there are led settings present.
The thing is: they've done 100s of these installs - those are pretty much the lights that everyone has been putting on their bikes here in Switzerland.
So, they know what the general behavior of these lights is out of the box on the M8 softails. I hope that they did not think: well, this guy is not going to notice....
I wonder what their response is going to be... I certainly hope that it's not: well, this is the way it is and there's nothing we can do about it.
If they tell me that, I'm gonna have to make a scene...

I know that it's a common issue, but there's a solution (the load equalizer for can-bus). The problem is that that excessive flashing bothers me and I will not pass the inspection with it this way - they are veeeeery specific about how things have to be on the bike here - I'll even have to put on the original foot pegs to go to the inspection - foot pegs must have rubber on them (my Kuryakyn riot pegs don't have any rubber) - otherwise it's not safe, and NO INSPECTION FOR YOU!

I had the load equalizer installed that was delivered with a set indicators from Thunderbike but the fast flashing in the dash was not solved and I found out
that the load equalizers getting really hot so I removed them again.
Interesting. Thank you for the very useful info. I guess I have to talk to the dealership and find out why exactly did they charge me for 4 hours of work if they did not bother installing the load equalizers.
At the same time, they charge 1.5 hours of labor for putting on heated grips..... So, I'm not surprised....

Malfvnction, very food looking bike. Its gonna pull it all together with a different exhaust. How about that sissy bar, is it custom or would you mind sharing where you picked it up?
