Just had to chime in that I was very cautious and took my time and the red jack and Dyna blocks performed very well for me today….no mods - just really took my time in lining everything up and making sure the blocks stayed squared while lifting the bike.
LOL, my Harley cave doesn’t quite measure up to the ones I’ve seen on here…..one of these days I may have me a fancy Harley cave….
FastFwd...how long did it take you to line up everything and finally lift the bike?
The proof is in the video. Slide the jack under the bike and jack it up. What was it, 5-10sec?
Yeah, Im not downing your mod I was just looking for a thread on the red jack to give it some cred it took a bit of precaution, but it worked well for me.
Those left blocks are crap. The black portion will separate from the orange portion in hot weather. I had my bike on the lift while I was working on the front end and when I was done the blocks were separating. If it stay on it any longer I am sure it would have fallen.

I guess I sort of owe you an apology since I re-read what I wrote and it does come off as a bit arrogant. No arrogance intended.
You're definitely odd man out when it comes to not minding the HD lift adapters. I've had them seperate while the bike was lifted. Short of spending $400 on a better jack I had to come up with something.
Anyway, best wishes to you with the lit adapters. I hope they never give you problems like they have several on the site.

I agree mine also have started coming apart i am doing the mod to my jack as soon as i locate some longer bolts. I now use a couple pieces of wood so i dont take the chance with the lift blocks
From the looks of the picture, the pads are bolted on just like the sears jack. If so, I don't see why you couldn't perform the same mod.
That's the one I have and rarely ever use! The clearence is fine on my Low Rider and I don't need or use the HD jack lift adaptors. The lift is good for cleaning the bike, removing wheels etc, but useless for changing all 3 holes..

I change my oil on mine all the time. I use a funnel with a long spout and Velcro it to the jack to hold it in place and run the spout down into the drain pan. Works like a champ. The funnel has a little loop handle on it, got it at advance auto parts.
