In order to say what jpace's sae #'s are, you'd need to use the weather conditions from that day, to perform the calculation.
Cannot just arbitrarily say a number.
True, maybe the numbers would be lower or higher. Probably a good reason a shop should only hand out SAE charts.
Right on, Jeremy, as it all needs to come together in order to work together, and shy of that, it's like taking some parts, putting them in a bag and shaking them over your head, and dumping them out on a table.
Scott
Your thinly veiled attacks are getting old, don't you have anything better to do? My build was planned out and discussed with many reputable Harley experts.
Glad to see your build is done and running. Must feel good.
Don't stare at the dyno chart too much. If the bike runs good and makes you happy they're just numbers. .obviously address any slipping clutch issues but the cost of a new/used exhaust and a re-tune can be put off for another day. Something to look forward to, anyway. I'd put a couple thousand miles on and shake out any bugs that pop up.
Nice work Alan! Glad that it runs smooth.
Well, I too expect 110/120 but what the heck, you have a solid build. CheerS! BTW how much did you spend beside free labor? lol
Thanks Alex, not sure what the total is, would take some time to talley up
The area I think a lot of people may not account for is all the new gaskets, fasteners, oil, tools, etc...

I really don't mind the chart at all, I knew the 1D5250s would have a big impact but I love the looks and sound(especially now) of them and they don't drag.
You are right, new pipes and a retune are off the table for awhile.
The clutch issue is getting my attention now. Seems like the Barnett HD spring should be enough, not sure why it is not holding - would not even know if not for the dyno though The Rivera is ~ $400 and the Bandit ~ $500, kinda hard to shell out that much right now.

The joys of going bigger. .
Next thing you know you'll be looking at a JIMS 6 speed trap door for your transmission. .

Alan, did Steve definitely say it was the clutch slipping? If you look at our charts the dip is in the exact same spot and I have a Barnett Spring with VPT92T lockup hat. Is it possible that its just the pipe? My tuner did say it was difficult to tune.

Yeah Steve did and now Vdop too(both tuners). I need to look up that VPT92T, have no idea what that is.
I'm surprised it's slipping with a good spring. I've used the se spring at that power level and higher many times with no issue. I chose the Rivera over the bandit because I could get it much cheaper and it seems like the bandit is very fluid sensitive. I think the Rivera would be great with the power you're making. The silver medium spring that it comes with has an easy lever.
Yes you are correct the Bandit Sportsman is very fluid sensetive. It only needs 14oz. that's why I'm kinda stearing towards the Evo Industries or Pro Clutch, especially since the Screamin Eagle compensator NEEDS to be lubbed very well (i believe that all of these clutches pretty much like to be dry, but of course cant be becuase mainly due to the chain needing to be lubbed).
What fluid are you using in your Rivera Pro Clutch? Where is a good place to buy a clutch for not to much $$$$$?
