Whack the throttle and there's no hesitation. I have even started out in 2nd gear by accident on occasion with no ill effects, no bucking. I recently returned from a 10 day road trip and the calibration settled in nicely. I chose not to do any smoothing like I did before so that the ECM could do it's thing. I monitored for spark knock and CLI on the trip. CLIs were fantastic and only had one incident of 1.5* knock retard show up in all of 3000 miles.

Today I did something I never do, rode the trike with sneakers and no socks. Heat was not an issue. Don't know if I'm up to riding in shorts.

Long story short, I am so pleased with the way it's running, I don't have need to play with CDE. Besides I don't want to reset my fuel trims.

If you want to play with CDE make your first pass with a 30% increase and observe what changed after a datarun. Personally I no longer see the need to have a visual pleasing to the eye graph. The engine told me what it needs with all the autotuning I did. Seems to be working correctly.

Hope this helps.

thanks for the update delta, sounds like you are happy with the way it is running for you.

when it comes to cde/egr i may be wrong but i dont think it is about having a smooth looking map, more about getting proper air flow while dealing with reversion.... tho i may be wrong about this.

would love to hear from anyone who has played with this.....seems like its a aspect that is avoided by most.

After 8 AT sessions with learning applied, how do I check for the 3 percent or less change in the VE table? Thanks, Kranky.

Open your current tune in WinPV and load the previous tune as compare. Under setup tab, select Show Delta as Percent then view the Delta between your VE tables. changes will show as percent.

Thanks ssmith579. From the compare I see that I'm not even close after 8 runs.
Min of 6 and up to 20 percent. Also a difference between cyl. The area needing most work in front cyl. is low rpm, low throttle. While the rear cyl. is mid rpm, low throttle. So I need to putt around at low throttle? Does that really buy me anything? Thanks, Kranky.

You should be closer than that after 8 AT runs. Do you have the PV mounted on your bars while tuning? If not it could be that you are hitting some of the cells with higher deltas for the first time. It really pays to be as meticulous as possible while doing tuning runs. If these are cells that you have already hit several times then there is the chance that you could have a intake or exhaust leak causing your VE's to be erratic. 20% changes after 8 AT runs just sounds excessive to me. As far as the low throttle buying you anything it really does. I know after I got those areas dialed in I could really notice a improvement in slow speed maneuvers and take offs from idle. The more areas of your map you can dial in the better running your bike will be.

It's mounted on the bars, but does me no good as I cannot see it.

Lol, glasses. Seriously, I did many tuning runs without it mounted and really don't know how well I was covering the whole map. After mounting it I could see all the cells I was hitting(couldn't read them though). I really didn't like putting around at 1000 RPM and trying to hit the 80 KPa column either.

I have had a Fuelmoto map flashed ever since I put in my Wood 555 cams. I finally did my first autotune. Their map was close, but wow what a difference bike runs a lot smoother as those lower rpms needed for riding in town and over all just seems to be smoother.

Question is it said VE1 2% -15% from what I understand you are suppose to get this around 3%? Am I understanding this correctly, looking for guidance on what all I need to look for and do.

Thanks,
Mike

Those ranges are vs the original FM tune. Not the next to last AT as I just apply learned and do another AT, so I only have one AT tune at a time.

Clue me in on this Autotune.
If I run one ane save it . The latter run Auto Tune on it again and chose save learned values it will improve The Results of the Auto tune.
So far I have ran Auto tune 3 times and the Map supplied by Jamie at Fuel Moto has Given the best over all
