I was getting about 39~41 prior to this build. now, even though the AFR is quite a bit richer in all but cruise area I am getting 40~42. It runs great even when just enjoying social day rides witha group at pretty mild speeds. it's got a huge lope at idle with the 777s and it takes a bit to warm up, but after that it's like Clark Kent & Superman.. mild mannered when you want it and Fire Breathing Monster when it's called on. ...and the sounds out the V&H ProPipe are Orgiastic!

Taking your calibration out of closed loop and setting the VE's to a single fixed value is about the worst advice someone could give you, and realistically depending on your combination doing so could damage your engine, I very strongly recommend NOT doing this. If your statements are correct this dyno tuner is not at all familiar with Power Vision or ECM tuning and needs to be brought up to speed.

You did not list your specific mods however if you are running one of our calibrations and have not yet done so I would recommend running three, 20 minute Auto Tune sessions. Between each session Export Learned and re-enable this map for your next Auto Tune run. If you continue to have any kind of running issue you are welcome to send us your Auto Tuned map for review and we can assist no problem, and if you need any help along the way just give us a call or email.

Are you still having this issue? If you saved it to a different slot, or event the same one, it shouldn't me locked. I don't think. The "original tune" saved when you marry the device is somehow protected from changes I think, but I've not seen the "locked" screen.

On the other hand, I haven't used my PV for anything but the guage function all season since I did the upgrade, so all sorts of new firmware and such has been put into some of the recent loads.

The new Target Tune kit for Dynojet Power Vision allows for full time closed loop fuel control incorporating Bosch wideband O2 sensors into the factory HD-Delphi ECM with user defined air-fuel targets. Fuel Moto has been working with Dynojet for a season developing & testing this exciting new product.

From our website:
Dynojet Target Tune is an optional accessory for Power Vision that adds a new dimension to Harley tuning. Target Tune incorporates closed loop fuel control utilizing Bosch wideband O2 sensors into the HD-Delphi ECM. Dynojet has evolved the OEM closed loop parameters and adaptive fuel control within the ECM to meet the needs of performance & tuning enthusiasts alike.

Allows the factory ECM to interpret and use wideband O2 sensor signals*
User defined AFR/Lambda targets over a broad range
Target fuel table from PV calibration is achieved in real time
Retains OEM closed loop, adaptive fuel control strategy
Learns and uses VE table corrections as you ride
Target Tune enhanced Auto Tune app on PV device
Does NOT interfere with dealer diagnostic / service tools
Direct plug in OEM style connectors connect to factory O2 harness
Model specific applications for Harley Davidson closed loop models
Available as upgrade kit without O2 sensors for owners of Auto Tune Pro
Fits 2006 and newer Harley Davidson motorcycles**
* Requires Power Vision Target Tune specific calibration
** ECM must be "closed loop capable" and have OEM wiring for O2 sensor circuitry

Jamie, is the Power Vision required to be attached to the bike at all times? or can it be removed and the Target Tune and sensors left installed and operating after the setup and tuning??

Because the wideband signals are interpreted directly by the ECM the Power Vision device does not need to be installed on the bike for closed loop operation. The only time the PV would need to be installed is if you want to display/log data or if you want to use the new Target Tune-Auto Tune app to populate VE corrections. For TT users there are also new PV channels available including WB O2 front & rear that are taken directly from the ECM's databus, no longer a need for the CAN cable back to the PV.
