the bike was fine, the engine was fine, i just had to reroute the line and hope my new choice was better than my old choice

My debate for myself is the simple remote filter mount on the down tube or the mount under the passenger floorboard and less visible. The floorboard mount requires a longer hose run and they are probably more susceptible to damage under the bike. I'll decide this week.

I wouldn’t say your the only one add me to the list.
The very first on I ever installed years ago.
It was a Dan Moore kit I didn’t clear the rear drive belt.
Sawed the hose in half didn’t even get 2 miles down the road.
Saw my oil psi drop to nothing and pulled over luckily without damage.
But I have installed 4 kits since with no issues.
Just have to take your time when routing the hoses.

Me personally the left front down tube is a great option. It's a lot less hose and routing and the oil filter sits out in the airstream more. Plus the filter sits vertically instead of horizontally.

Anybody can make a mistake installing a mod but you shouldn't write off the product totally.

i'm not sure the cooler actually did any good, maybe it did....made me feel good if that counts

the few oil changes i did with the new location were very convenient, however, the convenience was offset by the unplanned repair and the tow to my house

not that it doesn't work, I just wouldn't use it again, the benefit wasn't worth the price of admission

Maybe try the front down tube position next time if there is a next time for you.

Hey Buell I just read the reviews on those black Duru pex clamps and a lot of folks complained they are soft and break easy and leak. Probably made in China like everything else on Chinazon. If you know any other sources could you let us know?

The OEM part number for the 3/8" pex or pinch clamp is 10249 at $1.99 a piece.
