The crossing of the lines is unavoidable. That's the way they have to go because of the out flow from the motor to the in of the filter housing than out from the filter to the in on the motor. And I thought I was **** by shadowing out my toolboxes lol.

If the Oil filter adapter was Indexable, you could accomplish that
My debate for myself is the simple remote filter mount on the down tube or the mount under the passenger floorboard and less visible. The floorboard mount requires a longer hose run and they are probably more susceptible to damage under the bike. I'll decide this week.
HHmmm...for my 2019 FLHTP, I am trying to decide if I want the under the passenger floorboard remote oil filter mount or the down tube mount. Decisions, decisions!
Do both locations accept the stock oil filters for the M8? The M8 oil filter is a little longer than the Twin Cam was.
If you have lower fairings then you will need to install near the passenger foot rest.
The MoCo uses Oetiger clamps on several OEM fuel & oil hose applications...
Off the top of my head, they are also used on the fuel tank crossover hose, the oil tank (softail) drain hoses, and the small section of rubber hose on the oil feed hose to the oil pump.
Everything is scheduled to arrive on Thursday.
I will have the bike in the shop Friday to repair leaking push rod seals.
