Harleytuner what's your opinion of the screamin eagle 204 cam for a stock 103 with a fatcat 2-1 exhaust?
Thanks!
The 204 is aliright, but i'm still partial to the 251. The 251 is alot like the 255 but it caries the torque alot longer, it still comes in down low like the 255, but it carries it throughout the RPM range longer. The 204 is a decent cam in a 103 as well, but the torque will coem in later and drop off earilier than the 251. The Andrews 48H would be a good choice as well for a 103 with stock heads.
That is unreal just with a cam?
How do you find it on the road? Big difference
Big difference on the road. It runs like a raped ape. Every time I fire it up and take off I have a **** eating grin, it is that much fun to ride.... Doesn't help the mileage though The bike runs like it should have from the factory. I can feel the cams kick in around 2700 rpm but they really shine at 3500 rpm. It's fun hitting 85 in 3rd gear on the freeway onramp.
The Indie that did my cams and dyno says with Screaming Eagle ported heads, and a big bore kit with forged pistons, and 10:1 compression I should be able to get a minimum of 120 hp; even more with a bigger throttle body.

Hello to everyone,
This is a great forum that I have been reading non-stop. Figured I should sign up and share when I can.
I have a 2012 Fatboy with the 103. Stock dyno was 80/100 at HD of Salt Lake ( so 4500 altitude). Added a 255 Cam, SERT, Screaming Eagle High flow Filter, and Rinehart Cross backs, and dyno was 85hp/105tq.
Is this to be expected? It was tuned by HD salt lake, and is obviously still under warranty with 950 miles.
Thanks

Does'nt make sense? Just to make things clear so you had 80/100 on factory standard right?
You must be getting atleast another 10/10 just by adding sert, rinehart n heavy breather . forget the 255?
Somethings wrong somewhere?

Your post got me thinking so I called the service guy. The dyno run that I thought was stock was actually a pre-SERT tune baseline. Soooo, I find out that the dude ran the dyno with Cam, pipes, and air filter. Then he tuned it with the SERT and got the second numbers. Bottom line is I don't know what it had stock. Now I guess it does not matter, because my numbers are 85/105 and I will go from there!
Thanks
