Sorry this question is not making any sense to even give U a answer..
200+rmp range, what are U talking about??
Right of Idle,, again what are U saying.? I've never heard Ilde as being a reference point when talking dyno's.
apologies on the confusion . yes i read it wrong he did seem to shut down at 5800 rpm. i will take that rpm setting into thought ,sounds good .dont want blow my engine .got answer on why they startt runs at 2500+ rpm. on dyno sheets. thanks again . . willing to learn. and will race for free. lol humble thanks agian .looking forward to putting makuni 45 and braking 100hp and reposting
I got my '06 FXST (88 cu.in) dyno'd on Friday (3/5). Internally, the engine is stock and it has a carburetor with a Kuryakyn hypercharger and Samson exhaust. I don't know if the carb was re-jetted, but I'll find out when I do some engine work in the next few weeks. The dyno was STD and performed at a local dealership. There are 4 dealers within an hour of me so prices can be competitive. They charged me $32.00 to do the dyno run. The max HP was 68.63 and the max. torque was 81.03, not bad for a stock bike. I wanted to have this base run done because I'm going to attempt to do some engine work myself over the next month. I'm ordering an Andrwews 26a cam, the Timken B148 bearings and a Cometic camshaft gasket kit. Not switching to gear-driven cams or hydraulic tensioners, can't afford it right now. I'll also remove the top end and send the jugs up to Scott at Hillside to bore and send back with a new set of those 98" Wiseco pistons and rings. I'll post the new dyno results shortly thereafter.
Finally got around to posting the "after" results of my build from last Feb. My initial post can be found on page 27. After all was said and done, I went with 95" SE flat tops and cylinders, Andrews 26A cam, Timken B148 inner cam bearings, heads cc'd and decked to 9.6/1 CR and produced 183 psi CCP. Carb re-jetted, 48 slow, 200 main and dynojet kit (39.5 MPG). I installed a V&H 2-1 propipe and SE intake with K&N filter. I did all the work myself in Feb. except for the headwork which was done by Hillside. I would highly recommend Scott Palmer and Hillside as a machine shop that you can depend on for accurate pricing and timely delivery. I spent about $1200 on the build including the exhaust. The after dyno and tune was done by Dave at JD Cycleworks in Hellertown, Pa. I highly recommend his work as well. Final results are 79 HP and 97 ft/lb torque. The initial post included a dyno sheet that was STD, this one is SAE. Bottom line is that the bike runs gooooood and I did it all myself, well, almost all.
Fatboylo 96b 2011 vance and hines wide radius 2-2 scream eagle heavy breather scream eagle super tune 75.38 HP 91.43 torque work done by woodstock Harley ill fantastic people
I posted on the general forum and thought some of you may want to see the dyno sheet. Sorry the scan loaded sideways. This is for a base 103" with Stage 1 and V&H BSS pipes only. Let me know what you think. Looks like they did 9 runs . . .
I took it out today for a quick ride. I honestly didn't notice too much of a difference from a seat-of-the-pants perspective (I had slip-ons and a Stage 1 installed prior to replacing the pipes and the tuner/dyno), BUT the most significant change is the elimination of decel popping, which was driving me nuts on my old set up.
MikeZ. U got 80+ lbs from
2100 to 5200, That should be a fun ride now.
I also didn't notice a big diff when I had the stg1 stuff done. but U should be running cooler, smoother, start better and even a little better fuel mileage with it done.
As I've said before, If U ever do cams, then U'll notice a big diff in the seat of Ur pants.
Here it is after 2 hours trying to resize.....lol..Tell me what you think. I know people say about the 255s. I run it up to the redline if i have to. Let me know. Thanks...
