Getting ready to do SE stage 4 kit on stock bike except for 2 into 1 rhinehart high performance exhaust and RSD air cleaner already on. Should i just do stage 2, and can you tell the difference. deciding if stage 4 is worth the $
Thanks
Too many Ideas and versions of what the different stages are made up of.
Usually STG4 means adding a BLOWER or running NOS after You've done all the rest of Ur motor build, like cams, ported heads with bigger valves, BB kit, bigger TB.
IMO I wouldn't want either one for a daily ridder.
I have a 2010 Fatboy with D&D 2:1 exhaust, AN big sucker stage 1 exhaust and power commander V. With the map I have now the ride is great - it's smooth, good acceleration and runs cool. I just had a dyno run and the torque number is about 83 ft-lbs. The stock 2010 Fatboy has a spec'd torque of 93.7 ft-lbs. What am I missing? How can my bike have worse performance than out of the factory? That said I think the bike is running better now than before the upgrades so I don't think I can believe the factory numbers. The dyno run is below.
Thanks for the quick response mstngjoe. I'll do some more digging into a/f ratios. I do know the current map has it boosted quite a bit over stock so I'm still confused over the stock numbers.
I'm no expert, but I think you are comparing Harley numbers at the crank vs Dyno numbers at the wheel. I have not seen stock Harley's put out those kind of numbers at the wheel.

You failed to say if your running a 96ci or a 103ci engine. Where are you getting these factory "spec" torque numbers from? Are you running a canned map or did you actually have a custom map done?
txphatboy, I think you may be on to something - power at the crankshaft vs power at the wheel.
DD&Weevil, it's a 96CI engine (stock) and the spec is from the HD website. The map is tailored by dynojet for 2010 Fatboys with stage 1 and D&D fatcats. I've tried other maps from fuelmoto which had similar map numbers and performance but were not dynojet tested.
